Kirsten West N.D. is a Colorado native. She has completed a naturopathic oncology residency at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia, PA. During residency she assisted in the development of research studies elucidating the role of naturopathic medicine in conventional care and has been published in Naturopathic Doctor News and Review (NDNR). She earned her B.A. in psychology at University of Colorado at Boulder. During her undergraduate years, she served as a research assistant and held membership in Psi Chi National Honor Society. Prior to attending medical school she worked as an ancillary health technician at University of Colorado Hospital; performing phlebotomy and ECGs. Kirsten completed her naturopathic doctorate at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona.

Prior to beginning residency she gained great insight and experience from several leading Naturopathic Doctors including Lise Alschuler N.D., FABNO and Marcia Prenguber N.D., F.A.B.N.O. Furthermore, she has observed and worked alongside oncology experts and researchers at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Centers for Cancer Care. She strongly values the role of integrative medicine and sees it to be the leading edge of healthcare today. She is currently an executive officer and founding member of the Naturopathic Post Graduate Association; a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP). In addition, she holds a position on the House of delegates for the AANP. Dr. West is a member of the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

Aside from serving patients as a part of the Naturemed team, West is an avid practitioner of yoga. She has a passion for philosophy, backpacking, and the mountains of Colorado. On the weekends she enjoys the Colorado outdoors and reading.
