Kelly Parcell graduated from Bastyr University with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. She went on to intern at the Tahoma clinic under the direction of Jonathan Wright, MD, and practiced as a primary care doctor in Washington state with a specialty in women's health and gynecology.

In 2002 she moved back to her hometown of Boulder, Colorado and practiced on her own until 2005 when she and her husband, Steve opened NatureMed Clinic. Their vision is to provide comprehensive, high quality natural medicine for men and women of all ages.

Dr. Kelly, as she likes to called, is a frequent public speaker on health topics and writes articles on women's health for local magazines and newspapers. She takes pride in staying informed on the new advances in natural medicine for women's health through research and continuing education. Dr. Kelly therefore has great success with women in helping them to achieve their healthcare goals.

Dr. Kelly was primed at a young age to participate in the work force of natural medicine. As a child, she and her twin sister suffered from a health condition which caused their mother to seek out alternative treatments. She was treated by a naturopathic doctor using dietary modification, herbs, acupuncture and chiropractic.

Dr. Kelly always knew she wanted to be a doctor. She earned her BS degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Kinesiology. Her family genes of competitive athletics overcame her, and she decided to put academia on hold for the next 5 years while she pursued her passion of competitive road bike racing. To finance her activities she was employed by Wild Oats Markets as a buyer for supplements and body care.

During her years in the health food industry she was instrumental in lobbying for the passage of the DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act) bill in 1994. Dr. Kelly became an expert in the area of quality natural products. The combination of her academic and scientific interests as well as her experience in the natural products industry is what inspired her to become a naturopathic doctor.

Dr. Kelly Parcell is a competitive athlete and sports enthusiast who respects and adores nature and people. She is the mother of two and appreciates that she and her husband can work well together.
